An AI review works better when it has both the screens and the reason you are sharing them. Flow Capture packages selected screenshots, flow information, and comments so your AI tool can work from the journey you actually reviewed.

Prepare a focused handoff

Start with a reviewed flow. Keep the screens relevant to the task, check their order, and make sure important spoken comments have transcripts. Remove private content you do not want to share.

Give the assistant a clear request: identify confusing steps, propose a change to one screen, or help implement a specific improvement. State constraints such as preserving the current visual style or using native controls. The export provides context; your request tells the assistant what to do with it.

Option 1: connect with MCP

Flow Capture MCP lets a connected Claude or Codex client access the exports you choose to share. The connector runs remotely. In Claude, open Flow Capture in the connector directory and choose Connect to Claude. For Codex, use the MCP connection guide to add the remote server. Approve the browser code on your iPhone, then enable Flow Capture for your Claude chat. No local connector installation is required.

  1. In Flow Capture, open the prepared flow and choose Share → Codex & Claude → Send to AI.
  2. After the upload completes, choose Copy Request.
  3. Paste the request into your Claude or Codex conversation. It identifies the export you just sent.
  4. Tell the assistant what to review or change, and ask it to inspect the relevant screens and comments.

Sending the export does not start a chat automatically. Pasting the request into the conversation is the step that starts the review. Direct delivery requires Flow Capture Pro.

Option 2: share the ZIP

If you do not want to connect through MCP, save or share the AI review ZIP from the same export screen. Attach the package to a client that supports it and paste the accompanying prompt.

If your client cannot open ZIP files, extract the package and attach START_HERE.txt and the relevant screenshots from the Screens folder. File support and attachment limits depend on the AI client. For a large project, start with the screens needed for the immediate task.

What is sent

The shared package contains selected screenshots, comments, flow data, a prompt, and available comment audio. The original screen-recording video is not uploaded through the MCP handoff. Transcripts make spoken feedback available as text; do not rely on an AI client interpreting an audio attachment.

Cloud sharing currently supports up to 200 screens and 50 MB per export. Shared copies expire after seven days. Expiry removes access to the shared copy; your local project is a separate copy on your iPhone.

Work on one screen at a time

  1. Open the screen’s workspace and choose the version you want to discuss.
  2. Use Comments to add or revise your feedback. Transcribe any important voice comments.
  3. Choose Send Screens. Keep that screen selected; add other screens only when they provide useful context.
  4. Choose Send → Codex & Claude → Send to AI, then paste its Copy Request into your AI chat. Describe what you want changed.

Send an updated version

In the screen’s workspace, use Record New Version or Import Version from Photos. Review the result and its comments before sending. Choose the new version when preparing your next handoff.

Paste the new request into the same conversation and explain what changed. Every send creates a separate snapshot: editing your local screen does not replace an export already sent. The assistant responds in its own chat; it does not edit your Flow Capture project.
